Want to Write Your Story?

Interested in finding your voice, writing your story? Here's a way to start. Try to answer these questions as truthfully and detail-oriented as possible. Then see what doors or windows (or crawl spaces!) it opens for you. Jump! Tell your truth. Post one you'd like to share in the comments section below!

  1. This is wonderful! I am sorry I missed your writing workshop. If you do another one here in the city I will definitely attend if it is not too expensive. As for "it all started when", you asked for it, you got it!

  3. Hi, Kim. I posted a response to your notice on FB asking if people would be interested in a writing retreat. I would be interested but I am pretty much not free on weekends in June at this point. Also it would depend upon the cost. It's interesting that you are focusing on people wanting to tell their story but not knowing how. My problem is getting other people interested. My reference point is Julie and Julia. Julie was a pretty ordinary person, but someone was intrigued by her interest in cooking Julia Child's recipes and wrote a story about her. I know people write all kinds of stories. Someone wrote a story for the TIMES about older people who become obsessed with playing a musical instrument and aren't sure where they fit in the larger picture. I would have loved to have him interview me, but had no idea he even existed or was planning to write an article. So I need to know where to flog my story.
